Operations Management Solutions and Consultancy Services to the Aviation Industry

By harnessing our experience and expertise, we at OMCS offer consultancy services and the analysis and implementation of solutions to the Aviation Industry, catering departments and all onboard service partners.

Our aim is to provide consultancy services and operations management solutions to make the total In-flight experience and services departments more efficient, saving time and money, by maximising their operational effectiveness, driving through change, implement system solutions and procedures and by providing INDEPENDENT outsourced Managed Services.

By working with your current system specialist and suppliers and by using our comprehensively developed low-tech systems we provide cost effective management without the high cost of introducing high tech software applications.

To help meet the different emerging needs and operational demands of both airlines and service providers, OMCS provides a flexible service offering allowing customers to select services for their specific areas where they need support. Our management services generally fall into one of two classifications:

  • Projects - OMCS assists clients with implementation issues as well as tackling specific operational challenges such as; new business start up, introduction of new services, tender response and operational planning, procurement of In-flight items and service providers, menu development through catering suppliers, and more.

  • In-flight Management - we offer a range of management services that allow you to dedicate internal resources to your core business, leaving the sourcing and coordination of In-flight services to us.

Examples of our range of modular In-flight management services:

OMCS' Equipment Management Service includes asset management and equipment balancing. By monitoring and auditing inventory levels across an airlines network and combining this information with the clients and service provider operational requirements, OMCS is able to reduce network-wide inventory levels and station-specific consumption. OMCS can:

  • Reduce overall network inventory levels.

  • Monitor and reduce Station consumption.

  • Lower logistics and warehousing costs.

Service Provider Management maximises the performance of your suppliers by actively managing the relationship between you and service providers and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.

OMCS works with Service Providers to ensure they have a proper understanding of your service requirements and expectations. With our ability to provide independent, objective performance measurement and feedback, OMCS can provide management of all service providers.

Service provider Management

By working with Airport owners and operators, airlines and service suppliers OMCS are able to complement and support existing departments by providing:

  • Solutions to changes in business or operational needs.
  • Development of business case for new capital build.
  • Solutions to Asset replacement or renewal.
  • Head up the project development teams.
  • Information on comparative costs of provision of services and suppliers.
  • Responding to tenders for clients.
  • Provided change management and new services implementation.
  • Solutions and support for business re-engineering.
  • Working with Board Directors to compile responses to tenders
  • Compile working processes and procedures for the day to day operation.
  • Write the business case including full P&L and present to financial investors and Directors to obtain funding.
  • Represented companies on tender presentation and consultations.
  • Worked with Directors, department heads and workforce to set up new services and new businesses including:

    • Purchase of new premises.
    • Factory and warehouse fit out.
    • Set production layout and procedures.
    • Security systems
    • Full production planning tools, stock management, automated ordering process and invoicing. Quality control process and methods.

Solutions Development and Project Management

 AT OMCS we work with key stakeholders, Directors and operational departments to develop and implement

  • Commercially viable working solutions and manage change to major £m capital build, service improvements or process change.
  • Review the identified service issue, changes in regulations or new requirements.
  • Work with the technical and operational teams to fully understand the requirements to formulate and agree the solution.
  • Set up the project team and manage the solution development and project delivery.
  • Lead commercial and project team to deliver projects, improvements and change.

As all projects have the potential to impact on the current operating or business procedures we support the client by taking the lead in supporting the change management and process changes.

We also recognise that no two businesses are the same and that we pride ourselves on being able to adapt and take on board your current and future requirements, whilst striving to implement structured improvements. As part of the services we can offer we are able to provide:

  • Management of the stakeholder communications (Airline, service operator, regulatory bodies, CAA, DfT, department heads and directors).
  • Solution development, support approve and monitor of capital spend, programme and project delivery.
  • Write and present project papers, financial plans and deliverables to Directors and Executive boards.
  • Deliver the solution by working with operational departments, governing bodies, multi design teams, complex build integrators.

    • Airfield fire strategy (£2M).
    • Passenger environment (£35M).
